Speed Racer

Well I sure don’t work for any branch of the movie industry. I and my family LOVED Speed Racer. My hubby was glad that they kept the ‘cartoony’ aspect and didn’t try to make it too real. I think they did a good job with casting. I’m no Matrix fan either but the script worked for this story very well. It was true to its roots while still being updated and 21st century. We made sure our 11 year old had a background in the original cartoon before we took her too. But I don’t think it would have been necessary for her to enjoy it. If people don’t understand the action or the plot they are either dumb as bricks or trying to see what isn’t there. It was supposed to be fun and it was. I can’t see how it was a @@@* of the original either when the original was all campy and flash to begin with. It isn’t so much a racing movie as it is ‘kung-fu’ with cars. My daughter who dosn’t like very much and never wants to see anything again was bugging to see it again as we walked out of the theater. The bottom line is ‘never listen to the critics’ , they’re idiots.

Lovely Complex

I just finished watching an anime. "Lovely Complex" The original manga was written by Aya Nakahara. It is 24 episodes and is really great fun. It made me laugh out loud and cry big tears.

A great story

Right now I am so hooked on this story Corybantic Dance by Team Wryly Fantarding It is very good. (Naruto AU) The rest of thier individual and team work is excellent too

GreenGeko  also updated Resolution  (Harry Potter) Which is really good. You'd have to read the two preceeding stories first but both are excellent.

My Blog is up and running

I have transfered over the new layout to th Portal and to all the pages on the blog (the ones I can be bothered with anyway). Now I just have to update the content and check some links and It will be complete. The next update will be to the photo album.

Debugging code is murder. Especially when I had to just save stuff and the links were all rearranged. And then the divs..oi.

I won't even go into the headache of nesting files.

PS2 woes

Marina's complaning that her memory cards won't work on the PS2 so I figured that we should just reformat them. Well after a little research I find it isn't as easy as it sounds. Now I have to go through our programs and see which if any will reformat a memory disc. Poopies.

Ok here goes nothing

I've been cleaning up my computer and guess what? I screwed up my thingamablog database and lost it all. Which means I have to restart my blog. Well I was due for a layout change and some things needed tweeking so that is what I am doing. I decided to go back to my japanese textures and florals as themes. Of course if something isn't working let me know.
